The story
Following a devastating attack on a nuclear facility, Japan's government and police are left reeling, with only the cryptic word "VON" as a clue. Six months later, two teenage boys, identifying themselves as "Sphinx," emerge online, broadcasting threats of widespread destruction across Tokyo. These enigmatic figures, later revealed as Nine and Twelve, initiate a series of calculated terrorist acts, directly challenging the authorities.
The public descends into panic as the police struggle to contain the escalating threat and uncover the terrorists' identities and motives. Detective Kenjirou Shibazaki finds himself at the center of the investigation, desperately pursuing Sphinx while the duo orchestrates chaos. The series unfolds as Nine and Twelve execute their elaborate plans, driven by a hidden, tragic truth they aim to expose, using Tokyo as their stage to reveal a world of deception and secrets.
