The story
Ash Lynx, a seventeen-year-old with a striking appearance and a brutal past, leads a gang in New York. He was raised by Dino Golzine, a powerful mafia boss, who groomed Ash as his heir and exploited him. Ash rebels against Dino, seeking to escape his control.
The story begins as a cryptic phrase, "Banana Fish," surfaces, linked to the madness that afflicted Ash's older brother during the Vietnam War. This secret now falls into Dino's hands, intensifying the conflict between them. Into this dangerous environment steps Eiji Okamura, a young and innocent photographer from Japan, whose presence further complicates Ash's struggle for freedom and answers, putting both their lives at risk within the city's criminal underworld.
