The story
Takemichi Hanagaki, a struggling freelancer, learns of the tragic death of his middle school girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, at the hands of the Tokyo Manji Gang. The following day, Takemichi is pushed onto train tracks, but instead of dying, he finds himself transported exactly twelve years into the past. This unexpected journey places him back in his middle school body, reliving a pivotal period of his life.
Armed with the knowledge of Hinata's future demise, Takemichi resolves to change the past. His primary goal is to save Hinata from her fate and, in doing so, confront the personal failures he believes led him to his current despair. The narrative is driven by Takemichi's efforts to infiltrate the Tokyo Manji Gang and alter the course of events, with Hinata's life and Takemichi's own future hanging in the balance.
