The story
Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor centers on Glenn Radars, a new part-time teacher at a magical academy. His unconventional approach to instruction, often involving naps and minimal effort, frequently frustrates his diligent student, Sistine Fibel. Their dynamic is established early when Sistine challenges Glenn to a duel, easily defeating him and highlighting his apparent lack of magical prowess.
Despite his initial laziness and the students' skepticism, Glenn's true capabilities are tested when a serious threat emerges at the school. This incident forces him to abandon his laid-back demeanor and actively protect his students, revealing a hidden resolve and a deeper commitment to their safety. The narrative explores the contrast between his outward apathy and his underlying dedication as he confronts the dangers that imperil the academy and its inhabitants.
