The story
Satoru Fujinuma, a 29-year-old aspiring manga artist, possesses an involuntary supernatural ability he calls "Revival." This power forces him to experience short temporal leaps, sending him back moments before a life-threatening incident occurs, allowing him to intervene and prevent tragedy. However, when Satoru is framed for a murder, his ability activates in an unprecedented way, sending him not minutes, but eighteen years into the past, back to his elementary school days.
Now inhabiting his ten-year-old body, Satoru finds himself a month before the disappearance of his classmate, Kayo Hinazuki. Recognizing a connection between his current predicament and this past event, Satoru understands that to clear his name in the present and save the victim, he must prevent Kayo's abduction and uncover the true identity of the serial killer responsible for a string of childhood disappearances. The fate of Kayo, his own future, and the lives of other children hang in the balance.
