The story
Narumi Momose, an energetic office worker, begins a new job determined to keep her otaku and fujoshi hobbies a secret from her colleagues. However, her plans are immediately disrupted when she encounters Hirotaka Nifuji, a childhood friend and fellow otaku, at her new workplace. Their shared past and mutual interests quickly lead to Narumi's secret being revealed, not just to Hirotaka, but also to two other otaku coworkers, Hanako Koyanagi and Tarou Kabakura.
Following a casual conversation about her past romantic struggles with non-otaku partners, Hirotaka proposes that he and Narumi begin dating. He promises unwavering support for her hobbies and a deep understanding of her otaku lifestyle, including assistance with gaming. Narumi accepts his surprising offer, setting the stage for their unique and often awkward romance within the context of their adult lives and professional environment.
