The story
Okabe Rintarou, a self-proclaimed mad scientist, occupies a small Akihabara lab with his friends, the air-headed Shiina Mayuri and the otaku hacker Hashida Itaru. Their latest invention, a "Phone Microwave," initially seems like a quirky gadget controlled by text messages. However, a series of mysterious incidents soon reveals its true, profound capability: sending emails to the past.
This discovery propels Okabe and his lab members into a dangerous exploration of time manipulation. As they begin to alter history through these messages, they are confronted with increasingly dire and unforeseen consequences. The narrative delves into the psychological toll and scientific complexities of their actions, with the very fabric of their present and future constantly at stake.
