The story
Wind Breaker introduces Haruka Sakura, a first-year student new to the city, who seeks to establish himself at Furin High. This particular high school is infamous for its student body, a collection of delinquents with a reputation for intense brawls. Sakura's ambition is to fight his way to the pinnacle of this formidable institution, believing that strength and combat prowess are the only paths to recognition and belonging.
Upon his arrival, Sakura quickly learns that Furin High has undergone a significant transformation. Far from being a chaotic free-for-all, the students, now known as the "Chime of the Wind Breaker" or Bofurin, have collectively taken on the role of their town's protectors. This shift in purpose presents a fundamental challenge to Sakura's initial goals, forcing him to confront a different kind of power and responsibility as he navigates his place within this unexpected community.
