The story
In 19th-century Paris, the vampire Noé seeks the legendary Book of Vanitas. His quest takes an unexpected turn when a human, also named Vanitas, intervenes during an attack by a crazed vampire. This human doctor, wielding the very grimoire Noé hunts, possesses the power to heal the afflicted creature. Vanitas then proposes a radical mission: to "cure" all vampires, a proposition that both intrigues and alarms Noé.
Noé finds himself in a precarious alliance with this enigmatic human, whose easy command of arcane power suggests a dangerous path. The story follows their joint, often fraught, efforts to address the mysterious malady plaguing the vampire race. The stakes are high, as their actions could either save or further endanger the supernatural world, all while exploring the secrets behind the Book of Vanitas and its wielder's true intentions.
