The story

Rokuro Okajima, a Japanese salaryman, finds his ordinary life upended when a routine business trip to the East China Sea goes awry. His company’s boat is hijacked by a mercenary outfit, the Lagoon Company, who are after a mysterious disc Rokuro is tasked with delivering. Initially a hostage, Rokuro is dubbed "Rock" by the group's trigger-happy enforcer, Revy, who sees him as a potential source of ransom.

The stolen disc, however, contains a dangerous secret unknown to Rock, plunging both him and his captors into a complex web of conflict. As the Lagoon Company navigates the treacherous underworld of Southeast Asia, Rock is forced to adapt to a new reality defined by violence and moral compromise, far removed from his corporate past. The series explores his transformation and the perilous adventures of the ensemble cast within this lawless environment.
