The story
Yuuta Togashi, a high school student, desperately seeks to distance himself from his middle school identity as the "Dark Flame Master," a persona he adopted during his "chuunibyou" phase. He enrolls in a new high school, hoping to finally live a normal, delusion-free life. His aspirations are immediately challenged by Rikka Takanashi, a new classmate who actively embraces her own chuunibyou, believing herself to be the "Wicked Eye."
Rikka's eccentric behavior and her persistent belief in her fabricated powers disrupt Yuuta's carefully constructed new life. The story follows Yuuta as he navigates his attempts to shed his past while being constantly drawn into Rikka's world of elaborate delusions. The central conflict revolves around Yuuta's desire for normalcy versus Rikka's unwavering commitment to her chuunibyou, driving the comedic and dramatic interactions between them and their school club.
