Studio Khara's Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone is a 2007 action sci-fi film, the first in the Rebuild of Evangelion series. The story
Eight years after the devastating Second Impact, humanity's remnants reside in fortified cities like Tokyo-3, under constant threat from colossal entities known as Angels. These mysterious beings relentlessly attack, aiming to eradicate humankind. Shinji Ikari, a young man estranged from his father, receives an urgent summons to the NERV Headquarters. This organization is humanity's last line of defense, combating the Angels with massive bio-mechanical weapons called Evangelions, or Evas.
Shinji's father, a high-ranking NERV official, orders him to pilot Eva Unit 01. Reluctantly, Shinji takes on this immense responsibility, joining forces with the enigmatic pilot of Eva Unit 00, Ayanami Rei. Together, they must confront the relentless Angel onslaught, battling for the survival of Tokyo-3 and the fate of humanity against an existential threat. The film exists in several versions, including the original theatrical release (1.0), a DVD release with minor adjustments (1.01), and a Blu-ray/DVD re-release featuring new animation (1.11).
