The story
"Weathering With You" introduces Hodaka, a high school student who leaves his isolated island home for Tokyo. Arriving broke and alone, he eventually finds work writing for an occult magazine. His arrival in the city coincides with an unending period of rain, a constant downpour that blankets Tokyo.
Amidst the crowded urban landscape, Hodaka meets Hina, a young woman living with her younger brother. Hina possesses a unique supernatural power: she can stop the rain and bring clear skies. This ability becomes central to the narrative as Hodaka and Hina navigate their lives in the perpetually wet city, exploring the implications of Hina's power and its potential impact on their world and the environment.
