The story
The story of Assassination Classroom centers on the students of Kunugigaoka Junior High School's Class 3-E. These students, considered the academic failures of the school, are given an extraordinary and dangerous assignment: assassinate their new homeroom teacher. This enigmatic, tentacled being, who moves at Mach 20, has already obliterated a significant portion of the moon and threatens to destroy Earth within a year if his students fail to kill him.
The narrative is driven by the students' attempts to overcome their teacher's incredible speed and intelligence, while also navigating their regular school life and personal challenges. Despite being their target, the creature, whom they affectionately name Koro-sensei, proves to be an exceptionally dedicated and effective educator, genuinely caring for his students' growth and well-being. The core conflict arises from the students' mission to save the world by killing the very teacher who is helping them find their potential. The fate of Earth hangs in the balance, dependent on whether these misfits can succeed.
