Directing style

Anger’s visual style relies on tight, intimate framing, favoring medium shots and closeups captured at eye level or from low angles to build an ominous, tense atmosphere. Setting his scenes primarily within dark interiors and nighttime environments, he employs a shallow depth of field illuminated predominantly by practical light sources and direct sunlight. His palette is defined by high-contrast, saturated pops of hot pink, deep violet, and vivid red set against dark, near-black backdrops, occasionally shifting to cool, desaturated tones or stark black-and-white.
