The story
In a near-future world, traditional screen-based games are obsolete, replaced by advanced virtual reality experiences. The market is flooded with "crap games," titles that fail to meet the high standards of VR technology. Rakuro Hizutome, known as Sunraku within the gaming community, is a dedicated "crap-game hunter," a player who specializes in conquering these poorly designed but challenging titles. Having mastered countless such games, Rakuro seeks his next challenge.
Rakuro turns his attention to Shangri-La Frontier, a highly acclaimed "god-tier game" with millions of players, a stark contrast to his usual fare. As he immerses himself in this expansive virtual reality world, he encounters a diverse cast of online friends and formidable rivals. The narrative follows Rakuro's journey through this new gaming landscape, where his unique skills honed in "crap games" are put to the test, shaping his own destiny and that of his fellow players within the virtual realm.
