What does the cinematography of The International look like?
Across 12 sampled frames, The International builds its coverage from close-ups, with medium shots carrying much of the rest. Cinematographer Frank Griebe keeps almost all of it in soft, low-key light. Most of the frames play at night or in the failing light of dusk. Anamorphic glass shapes the frame. Focus stays shallow in most of the frames, isolating subjects from their surroundings.
