Directing style

Osgood Perkins constructs a claustrophobic, interior-dominated visual world by pairing eye-level medium shots and closeups with an extremely shallow depth of field, isolating characters in their environments. His lighting relies heavily on practical fixtures and single window sources to pierce dark night scenes, casting a tense and lonely atmosphere across the frame. This ominous mood is reinforced by a cool, desaturated color grade dominated by cold, dark blues and earthy, shadowed browns.
