Directing style

Can Evrenol constructs a tense, ominous atmosphere by staging intimate medium shots and close-ups at eye level, isolating characters within dark interior and night settings. His compositions rely heavily on a shallow depth of field, rendering backgrounds into soft, obscured textures lit primarily by practical fixtures and the faint glow of screens. The visual palette is defined by a cool, desaturated color grade that favors deep slate blues and cold grays, punctuated by sickly ochres, muted golds, and bruised, desaturated reds.
