The story
Tohru Honda, a recently orphaned high school student, finds herself homeless and living in a tent after a family tragedy. Her quiet, solitary existence is upended when her makeshift home is discovered by members of the prestigious Soma family: the charming Shigure, the popular Yuki, and the hot-headed Kyo. Tohru is soon invited to live with them, inadvertently stumbling into their deeply guarded secret.
The Soma family is cursed; when embraced by a member of the opposite sex, they transform into animals of the Chinese Zodiac. This supernatural affliction dictates their lives and relationships, causing both comedic mishaps and profound emotional struggles. Tohru, with her unwavering kindness and empathy, becomes an unexpected catalyst for change within the fractured Soma clan, challenging their long-held beliefs and offering them a chance at healing and connection.
