MyAnna Buring, born Anna Margaretha My Rantapää, was born on 22 September 1979 in Sundsvall, Sweden and is a Swedish actress, mainly active in the UK.

She was born in Sweden, but moved, with her parents, to Oman and Kuwait, where her father, Klas, worked as an orthopedic consultant and surgeon while her mother sold furs and Christmas trees. MyAnna studied at the American British Academy in Muscat (ABA) – Now known as “The ABA Oman International School”.

At the age of 16, she moved to the UK herself where she completed her Bachelor’s degree. (International Baccalaureate) at a boarding school in Oxford. She also studied drama and Spanish, which she later dropped out of, at the University of Bristol and later continued to study and graduate from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in 2004.
